Mark C. Taylor is a partner of the firm and head of the firm’s municipal law group. He specializes in municipal law, land use law, environmental law, condominium law, and general corporate law. Mr. Taylor also has a finance background, which gives him a unique perspective when analyzing financial aspects of all transactions.  

Presently, Mr. Taylor serves as attorney to the Town of Newburgh. He has considerable experience advising municipalities; he previously represented the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson (2008-2010) and the Town of Newburgh Planning Board (1991-1993). He has acted as project attorney for environmental review and zoning on significant development projects in the Hudson Valley, including a 45-acre commercial auto auction, a Hudson River waterfront retail center and marina, and several developments housing national retailers. 

Mr. Taylor holds a B.A. from SUNY Binghamton, where he majored in Economics, and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Washington. He received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1987 and was a member of the International Law Journal. Prior to joining the firm in 1989, Mr. Taylor practiced law in New York City in the areas of commercial finance, secured lending, and leasing. Mr. Taylor is a member of the Board of Directors of the Orange County Land Trust.
